Elvis Presley records, at Sun Records studios, 'I love you because', 'Blue moon of Kentucky' and 'That's all right'. In twenty-four hours, when the Memphis announcer Dewey Phillips begins to broadcast the recording of the songs that Sam Phillips (producer and owner of Sun) has passed him, the history of western popular music will change completely: rock and roll will take letter identity and the first star that will represent it will be being born. Nothing would ever be the same again.

British musician Tory Crimes is born. He was the original drummer for the British punk band The Clash. He played in other renowned groups such as Black Sabbath and Johnny Thunders for short periods of time until he began practicing as a chiropractor in 1994.

Bassist Roger Waters and guitarist Syd Barrett founded the British band Pink Floyd in London, one of the most influential in rock history. Drummer Nick Mason and keyboardist Richard Wright were the other two initial members of the group, which recorded 15 albums of which more than 300 million copies have been sold.
